A magazine-style annual report documenting Frontier Texas' expansion, the legacy of the Texas Longhorn, and the museum's vision for preserving history through education, heritage tourism, and community engagement.

Project Details

The 2024 Frontier Texas Annual Report was designed as an editorial publication that captures a pivotal year in the museum's history. The report follows the museum's continued expansion while exploring the stories, landscapes, and traditions that define Central West Texas. Through long-form editorial features, original photography, and thoughtful design, the publication invites readers to experience the people, places, and history that continue to shape the Texas frontier.

A central feature examines the legacy of the Official State of Texas Longhorn Herd, tracing its journey from Spanish origins to its lasting influence on ranching, conservation, and Texas culture. Additional stories highlight the museum's educational mission, archival preservation, and the continued investment in new galleries and community spaces that will serve visitors for generations. Documentary photography and editorial storytelling work together to communicate Frontier Texas' role as both a cultural institution and a destination for heritage tourism.

The completed publication provided donors, community leaders, and tourism partners with a compelling look at the museum's future while reinforcing its commitment to preserving and interpreting the stories of the Texas frontier. The project received regional recognition with two Bronze Bulb Awards from the Dallas Society of Visual Communication.
